Cant turn on television with Google Streamer 4K Panasonic TV

I have bought three of the Google Streamers and for my two Sony tvs the remote can turn on and off the tvs which is why I bought them. With my Panasonic TV (60CS610_SERIES) I can turn the tv off and use the remote no problems but I cant use it to turn the tv on. When the tv is off and I click on volume up or down on the google remote I can see the Panasonic Red light on the tv blink when I keep pressing these buttons but have no luck with the Power on. If i cant get it to work Im going to return it - wanted to see if anyone had a solution that i can try? TIA

To ensure Remote Audio is properly configured to control your TV:

• Turn on your Chromecast.
• At the top right of your TV screen, select your profile.
• Select Settings. 
• Select Remotes & Accessories > Set up remote buttons.
• Add a device > your device type > your device brand.
• From the remote control setup screen, you can select: 
• Volume. 
• Power
• Input.

If you receive any error messages during the setup process, you can refer to the article: Troubleshoot problems with volume, power, and input.
