Chrinecast remote wont fast foward or rewind

While in YouTube or prime video I can no longer fast forward or rewind videos.

To specify i have YouTube premium and own the movies on prime. And do not have ads I'm trying to skip, the content. I'm trying to watch will let me pause.

 

The left and right buttons still work when selecting videos or using the on screen keyboard.

Thank you so much for reaching out to the community. I’m truly sorry the Voice Remote cannot control some specific TV settings like fast forwarding and rewinding on your streaming apps. I’m happy to help you and find a solution.

 

To effectively troubleshoot, please let me know the following information: 

 

  • When did the inconvenience start? 
  • Is this the first time you are using the Voice Remote?
  • Are you experiencing this inconvenience only when you try to fast-forward and rewind, or does it happen with other actions?
  • Does the inconvenience only happen with YouTube and Prime? 

 

In the meantime, let’s check if you have the TV set as the configured remote button in the Chromecast settings:

 

  • Go to Settings > Remotes & Accessories > Set up remote buttons.
  • Select the relevant device to troubleshoot; for example, Sony TV > Setup buttons > reconfigure the controls for Volume, Power, or Input. 

 

If everything is set up correctly, please follow the general troubleshooting steps with the Voice Remote.
