Hi there!
I had my chromecast connected and working on my television for a couple of years and it just disconnected suddenly and I can't seem to reconnect it. I tried all the troubleshooting on the help page (unplugging/and plugging it back, same with my router/modem, deleting and installing the google home app, turning off my cellular data while trying to do the configuration).
The last thing I could try is rebooting the Chromecast, but as a 2nd generation, it doesn't have any button, as you must do the reset via the Google Home app. Since my Chromecast isn't connected anymore, it won't appear in my device list so I can't proceed that way.
Any help? 🙂
Thanks!
Iris

There IS a reset button on the 2nd Gen Chromecast.
It's small and next to where you plug the power cable in (slightly to the left if you are looking down from the top)

Omg thank you so much, IT WORKED.
I didn't see the button as it's dark behind my television and I thought I read there was no button. My bad. 🙂
Thanks again, you made my day!
