Hi!
I try to use Chromecast 4k with a monitor and can’t find any way to control the volume, neither in installed apps or when streaming from an iPad. The chromecast remote doesn’t even seem have volume control buttons?
The monitor does not have any remote way to control volyme or HDMI-CEC, does it have to?
There is no problem attaching monitors to any desktop/laptop, then the volume is controlled by that device through the HDMI output signal. Can’t chromecast handle that?
Regards
Leif

Hi LeifAnd,
Thanks for posting. I understand that you've connected your Chromecast 4K to a monitor, but you're unable to control the volume, while the Chromecast remote itself doesn't have volume controls. Don't worry I can help.
You will need this specification to cast your Chromecast 4K:
You can check the "Set up Chromecast with Google TV and Voice Remote" article for detailed information to cast with your Chromecast device.
Please let me know if you have more questions. I'll be happy to help.
Best regards,
Jenny

Thanks!
I can’t find any info on how to control the volyme on my monitor there though.
The information seems to relate to attaching with HDMI to a TV or similar device with it’s own remote.
I was trying to use it with a monitor where the volyme can only be controlled with a button on the monitor.
It works fine with a desktop/laptop to control the volume on the monitor from the computer but I can’t figure out how to do that with chromecast.

Leif
