Chromecast 4K search does not work

When I try searching in any of the search fields, results don't show up and instead the Google Assistant comes up and asks me to allow it to search across all apps. No matter how many times I allow it, it always comes up when I try to search anything. The only way I was able to search apps was to actually open up the Google Play Store app and search there.

Thanks for reaching out. Could you please make sure that the Apps Only mode is not enabled? Rebooting your Chromecast might also help.

If the issue persists, perform a factory reset.
