Chromecast Power Issue

SP7312

Hi,

Unfortunately today my Chromecast device says there is a power issue. The Chromecast is plugged into a socket using the manufacturer adaptor. This hasn't happened before.

Please could you advise?

I've tried different plug sockets and different HDMI ports on the TV. Thank you!

Hey there SP7312,

I'm sorry to hear that your Chromecast is having a power issue! I'd be happy to help you look into this, since I know these issues can be pretty spooky. Now, what is the LED light on the Chromecast showing you exactly? Depending on what the LED light state is, could point to different issues.

I look forward to your response, and if you have any other questions or concerns for me, please let me know!

Best regards,
Jeran

Hello SP7312,

It's us again. How's it going? Still need help? If yes, please also make sure that the Chromecast is plugged directly into a power outlet (not a surge protector). Also, check if the power adapter isn't damaged and try to use a different power cord (USB-to-micro-USB cable and adapter) than the one that came in the box with the Chromecast device.

Thanks for the help here, Jeran.

Regards,

Jennifer
