Chromecast TV 4k won't show up in Google home

Hi 

This is my 2nd Chromecast TV device. The first one was setup a year ago and works perfect. This one seems to be having problems with my Google home. It won't appear in the Google home. It does appear when casting YouTube. When setting up the device it is get so far and then would receive a error within the Google home app on my phone.

I factory reset it a few times and got the same issue. I also tried the manual way of setting up and had the same issue.

My WiFi is not in AP Isolation mode.

• Make sure the Chromecast device is within 15 to 20 feet of the setup device and the WiFi router.
• Restart the router: Disconnect the Wi-Fi router from the socket and leave it unplugged for 2 minutes.
• Make sure to connect your Chromecast device and phone to the same Wi-Fi band (2.4 or 5 GHz).
• Restart the Chromecast device: Remove the Chromecast device from the power source. Leave the device unplugged for one minute, then plug it back in.

My Chromecast is within 20feet

Router has been restarted as you requested

I have tried both my 2.4 and 5ghz networks, both fail. I can ping the chromecast on each network

Chromecast has been turned off for over a minute.

Nothing works

Casting works with youtube but the device does not show up in Google Home.

So it's now appearing in local devices. But won't let me add it to a room

So my issue seems to be how Google deals with accounts. I use a different account on my phone to what is on my Chromecast. So the Chromecast was in a different home. I removed it from that home and it was then available to add to my actual Google home. Was was strange is it didn't appear in any for a week
