Just bought Chromecast -with Google TV, use Google Home for connecting .
Chromecast connected to smartphone ( QR code) , and wifi needs to be selected and connected . All fine up to select Wifi-network and password. But then : connection error, check network settings. So I did, trying 2.4 or 5 GHz, channel fixed (11) or automatic, AP isolation on/off, and so on. No success. Also other wifi network ( unkown settings) no succes!

Hi, thanks for inquiring.
The previous hints (resetting, re-installing etc) did not help.
The thing that made the proces succesful was moving the Chromecast including TV close to the WiFi transmitter. Then the connection to the WiFi network could be made.
Moving the things back to the original position did not introduce problems, smartphone and Chromecast work perfect.
