Chromecast advice

Hello, I'm thinking about buying a chromecast 4k but I have some doubts. I have a full HD TV but I would like to buy a 4k in case of a possible change of TV. Will the chromecast 4k work with a full HD TV with apps like: Netflix, HBO MAX, Showtime and others?

Chromecast devices work with all formats below their maximum format.

So, you can use the Chromecast 4K on any TV and it will adapt down to what that TV can do if it needs to.

How high you can go also depends on the app and your network.
