Hi All,
I'm planning to put a projector in my pool area for dive in movies!
For content I want to use a chromecast straight in via HDMI but I don't like the thought of sound through the onboard speaker and want to use external speakers of some kind.
Any suggestions? I have the Chromecast with Google TV but am prepared to buy something else if required.
Idea 1 is to use portable speakers but some reading is telling me that bluetooth may cause some delay.
Idea 2 is Nest speakers over wifi but this requires running extra power.
Completely undecided as yet, any tips or suggestions would be much appreciated! Thanks.

You have two options.
The first (and best) is to connect your speakers directly to your projector. That should have audio-out ports on it.
The second is to use Bluetooth speakers that you pair with your Chromecast with Google TV device (note, that is the ONLY Chromecast that works with Bluetooth speakers). But, yes, there can be delays. And, you can only connect ONE Bluetooth speaker.
Chromecast doesn't work with WiFi speakers. They have to be in Bluetooth mode to work.

Thanks Byteguy, I'll have a look at the cable option and go from there.
