Chromecast item not available in your country

Hello there,

I have just installed chrome cast for the first time. When I try to watch the BBC or ITV, it says this item is not available in your country. I am very much in the UK however. I have checked my play store account and it also says I am in the UK.

Any ideas on what to do?

I apologize for the late response, thank you for being patient! Were you able to fix that Google Play issue? If not, I'd be happy to help out, as I can imagine this issue is pretty annoying. First, since you've already double-checked that your Google Play has the correct country selected, go ahead and clear out the cached data on the Google Play app. Then, if that didn't help, make sure you have your correct location set in the Google Home app as well.

Hi there - I was able to download bbc only by logging out of my google account and logging in with someone elses'. This is not ideal. Any other ideas as to how to fix this issue on my account appreciated.

Hey there Sl144353,

 

If you haven't already and if you've already set up your location in the Google Play home, I would recommend that you download the Google Home, add your devices, and set up your location in the Google Home settings.
