I’m based in Australia and bought a 4K chromecast with Google TV via Amazon Australia.
i have tried to install some Australian free to air TV apps (seven+, tenplay, ninenow, etc) but it says these items are not available in my country. So I’m assuming my chromecast thinks I’m not in Australia for some reason.
i have searched up the MAC address for my chromecast and this is US based (starts with 1c:53:…). Just wondering if someone in Australia is able to share if their MAC address is the same or if there is supposed to be another MAC address for Australian devices?
Any other suggestions?

Thanks for reaching out. This message usually is related to the region/country specified on your Google Play services. You may need to check if it’s set to Australia. Check out this link for more information.

Thanks Kimy. Yes, I was able to locate the issue as originating from when I first subscribed to Google One in another country. Despite changing every other address etc, the subscription was still linked to the overseas country. With the help of Google One support I have been able to rectify the issue.
