Hi
I have just bought a TP-Link AC750 DUAL BAND WIFI Extender to boost the signal into our bedroom because the signal from the main router to our 3rd Gen chromecast isn't strong enough.
I have tried setting it up and it says 'could not communicate with your chromecast on my android device'. On the TV screen it says "connecting to 'network'".
I've tried switching back to the main router to check that the chromecast has the ability to form a connection and this connects fine. But signal strength still not good enough to stream.
My android device and my wife's device work fine on the extender.
All lights on the extender are solid green and the chromecast light is solid white.
Any ideas?
Thank you!

Yes, the device I am using to try and set up the chromecast is connected to the wifi extender

Hey there Johnmwebb,
Welcome to the Chromecast Community Forum! There are a few things we can check for here to see what's causing the problem. First, I would make sure the all the devices are on the same network band, either 2.4GHz or 5GHz. Then, make sure there is no AP or Client Isolation enabled on the router or the extender, this would prevent connection.
I look forward to your response, and if you have any other questions or concerns for me, please let me know!
Best regards,
Jeran
