Chromecast settings does not finish

My phone turned off during setting the chromecast. When I open the Google Home app again, the setting doesn’t continue and I am not able to find the chromecast device. Thanks for na advice

Here are a few things you can try to fix this issue:

  1. Restart your phone. This may fix any temporary glitches that are preventing the setup process from continuing.
  2. Check your internet connection. Make sure that your phone is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Chromecast.
  3. Forget the Chromecast device. To do this, go to the Google Home app, tap on the Settings icon, and then select Devices. Tap on the Chromecast device that you're having trouble with, and then tap on Forget.
  4. Re-add the Chromecast device. To do this, open the Google Home app, and then tap on the + button in the top left corner of the screen. Select Set up device, and then select New device. Follow the on-screen instructions to add the Chromecast device to your network.

I hope these tips help. If you're still having trouble, you can contact Google support for help. You can do this by going to the Google website and clicking on the Contact us link.

Also do a quick factory reset on the Chromecast as you will then be able to start the setup process again.
