Chromecast ultra set up with wired connection want to configure wifi as backup

hi, 

I have my chromecast all configured on my wired cable. However I want to join it to wifi but can not see where to do this from my home app > device. 
help please

I believe that Ethernet and WiFi are mutually exclusive.

You can set your Chromecast up for one, but not both at the same time.

Your Chromecast device cannot automatically fall-back on WiFi if it has trouble with the wired connection.

Even when dealing with WiFi, Chromecast devices only remember ONE network at a time and can't switch to another network if they are having issues with the current network.  They will simply stop working and tell you they have a problem and ask you to fix it or set them up with another network.

thats pretty poor forethought. I did some testing last night, and it seems to be able to switch from wired to wifi. 
I added it first via wired. Then pulled cable out and did't reset the ccast. Then chose add device on G Home. It added it. I named the room one letter different. 
Now I can bounce between wired and wifi, via this room. The original room has gone i think. I'm yet to stream with it, as this was at my desk near my router etc.
