Chromecast with Google TV HDMI Cable extension

My chromecast is out of warranty and google isn't offering any support.

I'm thinking my chromecast keeps on disconnecting because of it's placement behind the TV. 
Has anyone used an HDMI Cable extension to lengthen the cable and place the Chromecast somewhere other than behind your TV? Any recommendations as to which cable I'd need to purchase to attempt this?

yo tengo el mismo problema que chromecast se desconecta de wifi  , creo que con la última actualización pasa eso y google no dice nada al respecto

Thanks for reaching out. You can use an HDMI extender, however we don't recommend any brand of the Wi-Fi extender that you may purchase, but you can check this thread to see the extender used by one of our Product experts. This may work for you too.

Yes. The extension HDMI cord didn't fix the problem.

My Chromecast with Google TV unfortunately is out of warranty.

Thanks for getting back to us. Have you tried the recommendations provided by our Product experts? If the device is already out of warranty, I'm afraid there's no way for us to process a replacement at our end. In this case, you may purchase a new one from our Google Store.
