Chromecast with Google Tv stuck on GoogleTV logo

Hi there,

Could you help me, please?

My Chromecast with Google Tv just stopped overnight.

- I tried to power on with remote control, nut nothing happens.

- I took off the device from the power, left for 24hr unplugged. When I tried to power on, It's stuck on GoogleTv logo.

- I tried the hard reset, holding the bottom as google says, but the yellow light never cames, It just stay in the white light.

Can you help me?

Try these steps:

  1. Shut down the TV completely by turning off and disconnecting the power cable from the power source.
  2. Disconnect the Chromecast from the HDMI port.
  3. If the Chromecast is plugged into a power source, disconnect it from power.
  4. Turn on the TV, then reconnect the power source to the Chromecast device. Don't put the Chromecast into the TV HDMI port yet,
  5. Wait for 30 seconds.
  6. Plug the Chromecast device into an HDMI port on the TV.
  7. Change the TV to the same HDMI input as the Chromecast.
  8. If there are multiple ports available on the TV, try steps 1–6 with a different HDMI port.

Unfortunately It didn't work. Tried it with 2 different hdmi port.

Does it work if you try it in a different TV, just to test?

Tried in a different TV and in a PC monitor. Same problem. It's stuck on GoogleTV logo and after a few seconds It power off.

In that case, I’d recommend contacting the Google Nest support team:

  • Go to https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp
  • Select "Google Chromecast", type a brief description of the issue, then click "Next".
  • Click "Other", then click "Next step" until you see the contact options.
  • Choose to get a call or call or chat with the team as available in your country.
