Chromecast

Hi. I recently purchased a chromecast with Google tv and remote. I am unable to cast all apps using IOS devices or remote. When I search all apps on Tv after set up only Google Play and TV show up so when I use remote to watch everything wants to install app. I can cast abc view ; Spotify and 7+ using my IOS devices but Netflix says No devices are connected and YouTube flashes onto Tv then disappears and Stan and SBS don’t recognise the device. Google TV works but only if I purchase on browser.

When I open the Playstore via web it shows apps are installed from the date I first set up Chromecast. I have tried everything from rebooting to resetting and am wondering whether or not that used to have a Playstore app on my Samsung phone which is no longer working is impacting watching. Maybe I need to delete apps in Playstore. Is this possible using IOS or PC.

I know that a chromecast without a remote works on the TV. I have already returned and replaced original device to store. Should I return and replace with simpler device without the remote.
