Chromecast1 can’t find WiFi after getting net gear cx30 gateway.

New net gear cx30 keeps defaulting to home WiFi network, it won’t find the chrome cast network to connect to . Have rebooted chrome cast & network several times. Have also deleted device & readied, but keeps defaulting to home network. Doesn’t show up for me to forget device. 
Suggestions?

I'm sorry for the late response, I appreciate your patience! Are you still having trouble connecting your Chromecast to your new network? If so, I'd be happy to help out. I would recommend you check out this article on how to change the Wi-Fi network on your Chromecast. Essentially, you can change the Wi-Fi network on the Chromecast by either factory resetting it, or follow these steps from the Google Home app:

1. Make sure your mobile device or tablet is connected to the same Wi-Fi as your Chromecast device.
2. Open the Google Home app.
3. Tap your device.
4. In the top right corner, tap Settings > Wi-Fi > Forget > Forget network.
5. You’ll be taken back to your home screen.
6. Set up the Chromecast device.
