Colour contrast for selected item border

Is there a way to change the colour of the selected item border?

The current white border is very difficult to see and likely fails accessibility contrast guidelines in most cases. I understand it’s challenging to choose a colour that works across all combinations, but white is definitely not ideal for visibility.
