I recently found my old Chromecast and have tried connecting it via the app. I have followed all of the steps to set it up but the app can’t find my device. I have tried factory resetting it but nothing seems to be working. Is anyone able to give me any instructions on how I’m able to fix this issue?

Hi there, I’ve just been have the same issue. You’ll have to go to your Wi-Fi settings on your mobile and click on the Chromecast listed there. You can then return to the app to complete the setup.

Luciesmithxox, adding to what Kosei mentioned, here's a detailed steps on how to manually connect to the Chromecast SSID: go to the phone settings > Open Wi-Fi and connect to the Chromecast SSID (Example: Chromecast1234, Living Room TV, Bedroom TV, etc.) > Go to the Google Home app and try to set it up again.
