Hi mohdkassam,

Thanks for reaching out. Let's check this further.

A few questions: what type of Chromecast device do you have? Are you setting up your Chromecast with Google TV? What's the make and model of your mobile phone?

Give these steps a try:

  1. Check if your Chromecast is on the same Wi-Fi network as your phone or tablet.
  2. Make sure your Chromecast is within 15 to 20 feet of the setup device and the Wi-Fi router.
  3. Connect other devices to the Wi-Fi network.
  4. Try to connect to a different Wi-Fi network or a mobile hotspot.
  5. If you're using a dual band router, make sure you're connected to the correct network connection (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz).
  6. Check if the router has a hidden network name or SSID.
  7. Force close the Google Home app.
  8. Uninstall and reinstall the Google Home app.
  9. Reboot your Chromecast device, router, and mobile phone.
  10. Use a different mobile phone.

Let me know how it goes.

Best,

Jennifer
