My chrome cast says can’t connect to wifi I’ve been trying to fix this for hours I already contacted support and they literally left me wasting my time for no reason. I read and watched stuff trying to figure this out and nothing works.

Hello E1iana,

Thanks for reaching out and I'm sorry to hear about your experience. I'd love to dig deeper into this.

A few questions: what type of Chromecast device do you have? What's the LED status on your Chromecast? Is this an initial set up or working previously?

Please check the steps listed below. Let me know if you've done this already or if it helped you resolve the issue:

  1. Reboot your Chromecast, router, and mobile phone.
  2. Force close the Google Home app.
  3. Reinstall the Google Home app.
  4. Try to use a different mobile phone.
  5. Manually connect to the Chromecast SSID. Here's how: go to the phone settings > Open Wi-Fi and connect to the Chromecast SSID (Example: Chromecast1234, Living Room TV, Bedroom TV, etc.) > Go to the Google Home app and try to set it up again.
  6. Factory reset your Chromecast. Here's a guide: How to factory reset your Chromecast.

Regards,

Jennifer
