Hello, so since the Android 14 update that arrived to me this month (August) I've been having lots of issues making the CC almost unusable. First, I always use it connected to my Bluetooth headphones and it always had some hiccups here and there before, making audio and video start to be out of sync but pausing the video seemed to fix. Now there is no out of sync audio but there is stuttering every 10 minutes or so breaking the immersion. This happens with Netflix, Disney+ and even Youtube.
Now, when watching Youtube, suddenly after around 10 to 20 minutes it automatically crashes, disconnecting from WiFi, the remote just dies, and Bluetooth also disconnects, so I stare at a loading screen, completely in silence and the Wi-Fi don't connect again, the only way to restart is disconnecting the Chromecast from the power source and connect again. This is unbearable and I would never update if I knew this was going to happen.
Please fix this ASAP I don't even have it for even a year and it's completely useless by now.
I've tried resetting, and every known fix, I think this is a software issue and maybe an update by Google could fix this. Thank you.

It sounds like your Chromecast with Google TV HD is experiencing system instability after the Android 14 update, especially with Bluetooth streaming and Wi-Fi connectivity. These steps may help stabilize performance until a permanent fix is released:
1. Restart and update everything
Go to Settings › System › About › System update and make sure the Chromecast is running the latest available firmware.
Restart both the Chromecast and your router.
2. Reset network connections
In Settings › Network & Internet, forget your Wi-Fi network, reboot the Chromecast, and reconnect.
If possible, try a 5 GHz Wi-Fi band for more stable streaming.
3. Re-pair the Bluetooth headphones
Remove the headphones from the paired devices list and pair them again.
If stuttering persists, test with another Bluetooth audio device to see if it’s specific to that headset.
4. Clear cache for affected apps
Go to Settings › Apps › See all apps, select Netflix/YouTube/Disney , and clear cache.
5. Factory reset (last resort)
If issues remain, perform a factory reset via Settings › System › About › Factory reset. This can resolve update-related conflicts.
If the problem continues after these steps, it’s likely a firmware bug introduced in the August Android 14 update. In that case, report it via the Send feedback option on the Chromecast (Settings › Help › Send feedback) so the team can log it for a future update.

I'm also having this issue; my Prime, Paramount, HBO Max - pretty much ALL of my streaming apps - will NOT load video now. Don't be updating **bleep** that doesn't need it! Mobile devices, tablets, great. Streamng and Smart Home hardware? NO. Not all Android OS work with all Android devices, folks! As one of your product beta testers for almost 7 years, I could have told you that!

Same here something broke since update. Wi-Fi disconnect every 10 to 20 mins. Even tried to connect to phone same issue so not provider or router related. Only Google to blame. Need help

Mine is broken after the update too. Google's response has been crickets. It's like they did it on purpose to get people to buy the new one because there's no way they tested this.

I don't know what it going on with Google breaking stuff lately!
Chromecast with TV HD is broken. ( only 1.5y ears old ), i changed it when the broke Chromecast 1st gen with those stupid certificate error!
WifiCalling is broken on almost ALL Pixel!
I am not going to change for another Tv device from them unless they can repair what they broke... even the new one will break when anew one comes out!

To isolate the main issue, I have some questions for you:
I look forward to your response.
