Device is connected to network, but apps say no connection

We thought the problem was only with YouTube but now Disney+, Hulu, Prime Video and HBO Max all insist that the device is not connected to the network. The device is connected and shows as such in settings with the connection to the internet indicated. We have all ready factory reset everything. Please help if anyone know what can be the issue.

Hello FrauMcLeod,

Thanks for reaching out to our community.

I understand how frustrating it can be when you can't access your favorite content on your device because the apps you want to use aren't loading. Let's delve deeper so you can enjoy your shows and videos.

Please tell me which specific device you're using for streaming content. It would also be helpful if you could let me know what light your device shows you and what the connection status is in the Google Home app if you have it set up.

If your router supports both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz channels, ensure your streaming device is connected to the 5GHz network. Also, make sure your router has the latest firmware version and that your streaming device isn't too close to the TV or touching other devices' wires or cables to prevent WiFi or Bluetooth interference.

If you have an ethernet cable available and you have a Google TV streamer or an ethernet adapter for your Chromecast with Google TV, try connecting it directly to your router. This will provide the most reliable connection and rule out any interference issues.

Please let me know how it goes.

Regards,
Angel.
