hello. I have a problem with the Disney plus app. UHD 4k resolution does not work. I can't turn on the material in UHD resolution, other applications such as Netflix, Prime, Youtube allow me to watch movies in UHD 4k resolution. The TV is a Samsung 50 inch 50JU6500 with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 HDR/SDR, unfortunately there is no Disney Plus application in the appstore, that's why I bought external devices, I need UHD to work as it works in other applications, what can I do? Please reply. Regards.

Hello Wydra9,
Thanks for visiting the Community.
Sorry to hear that you're having issues streaming Disney Plus in 4K content on your Chromecast with Google TV (4K). Please make sure that you have the following requirements below. Also, please make sure that your TV has an updated firmware version.
Looking forward to your response.
Cheers,

Welcome back. It seems to be a problem with the chromecast 4 4k itself. I checked this TV on Xaomi Stick 4k and Canal plus BOX 4k and on these devices everything works fine. The image is scaled to 4k UHD HDR 10 and the sound is in 5.1 Dolby Digital. Unfortunately, there is no 4k UHD on Chromecast, sometimes this resolution will be turned on but it is accidental and very rare, surround sound does not work at all, the device detects it as stereo. I read on internet forums that such things happen after updating to Android 12. Is there any way to install Android 10? At this point, Chromecast is useless for me. I want 4k UHD and 5.1 sound. I reset the chromecast 4, did a factory reset, it didn't do anything, the device just doesn't work well.

Hi Wydra9,
Sorry for the delay in replying. The July patch update is up. Have you tried to update and see if it helped? If it persists even after the update, chances are it could be missing modules. You can do a factory reset, then set it up again. Keep us posted.
Thanks,
Kimy

I checked the new update, unfortunately it didn't help me. At first, after the update itself, UHD worked in all applications, but unfortunately, after restarting the device, I can't restore UHD. The device itself is nice, but it's useless at the moment, it was better to buy a cheaper HD version, I would have the same ... I would love to go back to the Android 10 version where everything worked. Chinese Xaomi works very well, no problem at all. Please correct this, because these devices are useless electrical scrap.

hank you very much for your answer. The situation is that sometimes I get 4kUHD in the Disney plus app, but very rarely and unfortunately I don't know what needs to be done for it to work. I have a lot of settings in the chromecast and in the TV that are responsible for HDMI streaming. Please tell me what exactly the TV and playback device must meet for UHD to work. I noticed a certain dependence when I turn off dolby 5.1 sounds in chromecast that the application does not show me the "5.1" icon next to the movie and when I leave the application I turn on 5.1, sometimes 4k UHD HDR will appear and probably all available formats except dolby vision because my tv does not support it. Unfortunately, this rarely helps. The internet speed measured on the playback device is 350Mbps, I am using the HDMI cable that is built into the 4k chromecast. So far I have resigned from the subscription because in HD I can buy an interesting movie on DVD or Blu-Ray from time to time, but if it worked UHD, which I mainly cared about, I would probably come back.
