Dolby with Netflix App

I have the Google Streamer 4k new.
Dolby 5.1 does not work on Netflix.
I also have no chance to switch to 5.1 in the Netflix app.
On all other streaming services (Amazon, Paramount, Waipu) 5.1 works perfectly.
Does anyone else have the problem with Netflix and Dolby 5.1?

  • Check Internet Connectivity and ensure that your device has a stable internet connection and is working properly.
  • Make sure you have the latest version of the app installed on your device. Check for app updates in your device's app store and install any available updates.
  • Restart your Chromecast device; sometimes, restarting your device can resolve app-related issues. Turn off your device, wait a few seconds, and then turn it back on.
  • Delete and reinstall the Netflix app.

Hi Jenny,
I have tried all of these things several times. Unfortunately without success. I work in IT and these solutions were also my first choice.
As I have read in the meantime, many users have this problem.
Therefore, only an update of the Netflix app will help. This problem does not exist with other apps, Waipu, Prime, Paramount.

I am waiting for a solution for the Google Streamer 4K

Thanks for your reply and all the information provided. I really appreciate the effort to do all the steps above. I'm sorry for the experience that you are having. In this case, if you're still completely unable to cast, this means that there is a trouble with your Netflix app. At this point, we recommend you contact Netflix team for further assistance; they're best equipped to help you with checking the app!

Same problem. On the Chromecast with Google TV 4K no problem but on the Google Streamer no 5.1 on Netflix
