I have a Vemont usb-c hub connected to the Chromecast mainly to have an ethernet connection instead of wifi. It worked fine for months but now the led on the hub is blinking orange and Chromecast wont connect to ethernet anymore.
The cable works fine with other devices. I tried to remove it to see if Chromecast needed an update or something but the issue is still there. On the back of the tv a red light is on near the Chromecast port. It connects fine over wifi.
Any ideas? Just buy a new hub although its relative new?

Using USB-C hubs with Chromecast with Google TV seems to be trial and error at the best of times, as strictly speaking Google don't support the use of USB-C hubs with it.

Could it be that a recent update changed something to my situation? Is there an update tracker somewhere?

It could be but we really have no way of knowing. The release notes are here but it's sporadically updated.

Hmm, that is not really helpful indeed. Ok, so not much to try then. Maybe i will just buy a new one to see if that fixes the problem
