Google seems to have invented a kind of AI that tends to be more stupid and useless as time goes.

Bought two Nest Minis and a couple of Chromecasts some years ago, It worked ok. Not flawless, but it was useful. But a year ago it turned rubbish and Google does not care. Dont try to contact their support cause they will just waste  your time not solving the problems.

Hi folks,

Oh no! This is not the experience we want you to have. Let’s break down each device that you need help with.

@Kimberleybab, we can do a full clean-up on your Chromecast Voice Remote. Try this workaround and let us know if it helps:

  • Remove the batteries and give them 2 to 3 minutes of rest.
  • While the batteries are out, press and hold down the power button for 15 to 20 seconds to fully drain any static power left on the chipset/motherboard of the Chromecast Voice remote, then release the button.
  • Let the remote rest again for 2 to 3 minutes. Take this time to unplug the Chromecast device from power and give it a minute rest before you plug it back in.
  • Proceed with the pairing process.
  • If it persists, factory reset the remote.

For the frequent disconnection to WiFi of your Chromecast with Google TV, try a factory reset for a full clean-up. If it still persists, disconnect it from your WiFi and connect it to your phone’s mobile hotspot just to observe. The objective is to isolate it if it's a network-related issue. And what Google Nest device do you have, and what help do you need with it?

@toflo, what Chromecast device are you using? And what help do you need with it and with your Google Nest Minis?

We look forward to your responses.

Thanks,

Kimy
