Hi agibanez11,

Thanks for reaching out! I understand you're experiencing a situation where the picture freezes but the sound continues when casting from your laptop. I appreciate you've already taken the excellent steps of clearing the cache and restarting your devices. I can certainly help you get this resolved.

Based on your description, this sounds like a performance or network-related issue. To help me get to the bottom of this, could you please answer a few questions?

First, let's try a couple of simple steps to rule out the most common causes. While you're working on that, please consider the following:

  • How far is your laptop from your Wi-Fi router, and are there any walls or obstacles between them?
  • Are other devices in your home actively using the Wi-Fi at the same time (e.g., streaming, downloading, or gaming)?
  • Does this freezing happen with all content (e.g., YouTube, Netflix, Disney+) or only when casting from a specific website or service?
  • What browser are you using to cast?

While you're checking on those details, here are a couple of things you can try to improve the connection:

  • Reduce Network Congestion: Try temporarily disconnecting other devices from your Wi-Fi to see if the picture improves.
  • Improve Signal Strength: If your laptop is far from the router, try moving it closer to see if the video stream becomes more stable.
  • Test Your Internet Speed: Run a speed test while you are streaming content. This can help determine if your network's speed is a limiting factor.

Please keep me posted on whether any of these steps helped and the answers to the questions above. I'm ready to assist you further.

Regards,

Humberto
