Hi Guys,
Very Suddenly my Google Chromecast keeps turning my tv off, now I know its not the TV itself as when I am watching normal TV the tv works perfectly and when I watch Netflix through the TV remote it works perfectly, however when I use my google chromecst it turns my tv off constantly, sometimes instantly, sometimes half way through a movie or a tv show, sometimes it will happen if I've been binge watching a tv show or sometimes it happens the moment I turn the tv on, so its not consistent, I've checked all the cords they are in perfect condition, I have restarted the device, I've reset the entire device, I've re paired it all to the tv, I've disconnected and re connected it to the internet, I've done all the updates for it, I've cleared the cache settings, I've got two of these devices as we bought a new tv not long ago and now that tv no longer requires one, so I changed the device and both devises do it to the one tv, however the tv in its self is not that old and works perfectly, I have the Chromecast connected straight into the power point not the power board and I honestly do not know what else to do or try, the Chromecast is only about a year old so it shouldn't be out of date and I'm at my wit ends trying to figure it out. Please help me.

Hi StephP,
Thanks for posting and for being a step ahead of us. Since you’ve done most of the troubleshooting steps on the Chromecast device, what I see as a possibility here is the remote triggering the power off of the TV. Try to remove the batteries while you watch a series, which can give you an ample amount of time to observe. If the behavior persists, test the entire set (both Chromecast and remote) on another TV that is out of range of this TV. Let us know how it goes.
We look forward to your response.
Thanks,
Kimy
