When I use the Chrome Tv, it clearly holds programs in memory so when you go back to them later, they are still running and come up very fast. The problem with that is in my case, Sling TV froze up at the program guide. I couldn't exit the program. So I would hit the back button or the home button which takes me back to the main screen of all programs. But because Sling is held in memory, every time I restart it, it comes up in its frozen State and I can't do anything with it. So I had to reboot the Chromecast to clear it out. Is there a way to do this within the program or to switch off the way Chrome handles programs, so it does not hold them in memory after you leave them?

There are two ways to deal with this.
Go to the gear icon in the top right corner of the screen (you may have to hit it twice to get into Settings).
You can go to Apps and then "See all apps'. You can pick individual apps and then use "Force Stop".
Or, you can go to System, scroll all the way down, and choose "Restart" at the bottom of that list.
