My issue was not getting started. What I have is. I’m trying to figure out what this blue tab is that comes up on the side of the TV when I’m using the TV browser app

Hi @Soonny7,

Ah, that blue tab on the TV browser app with Chromecast sounds like the casting icon! Here's what it likely means:

  • Casting is Active: The blue Chromecast icon usually indicates that your Chromecast device is actively casting content from another device, like your phone, computer, or tablet.

  • Casting Source: Depending on the TV browser app, the blue tab might also show the name of the device casting to your Chromecast. This helps identify what's sending the content to your TV.

Here's what you can do to confirm:

  1. Check Casting Devices: Look around on the device you suspect is casting (phone, computer, etc.) for a Cast icon. Tapping or clicking that icon typically shows what's being cast and allows you to control playback.

  2. Review TV Browser App: Some TV browser apps might have information about the casting session within the blue tab itself. Explore the options within the tab to see if it reveals details about the source.

If you're not actively trying to cast anything:

  1. Stop Casting: On the device you suspect is casting, look for the Cast icon and try stopping the cast. This should turn off the blue tab on your TV.

  2. Restart Chromecast: If the blue tab persists even when nothing is casting, try restarting your Chromecast device. This can sometimes resolve minor glitches.

I hope this explanation clarifies the blue tab and casting functionality! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Best,

Brandon.
