Google Streamer Remote features should work with Chromecast with Google TV

The new features for the Google Streamer Remote (Find My Device and the customizable button) should work when paired with a Chromecast with Google TV. Unless these features are dependent on having a Thread Border Router (which it doesn't seem like they would), it appears like these features are being restricted to force people to upgrade their streamer. Please include these features in a future CCWGTV update.

300% agree these feature can work with chromecast with google TV especially since it will get the android 14 update soon. Also why sell the remote seperatly with limitations?
