i am working in an Android app for a bluetooth remote controller for Chromecast 4
The thing is that Chromecast does not seems to follow HID Consumer standards. I got most of the button commands by trial and error
But I cant get the Volume to work
Consumer standard says it must be 0x00E9 for VolUp, which works perfectly on my app connected to a PC but in Chromecast it does "back" command or something similar
Any way i can get the right way to control Chromecast volume?

Hi marianodesivo,
Thanks for posting in this community.
I understand you’re working on your Android Bluetooth remote app for Chromecast with Google TV (4K), but found that it is not following the HID Consumer standards so you can’t get the volume to work in your app. It is my pleasure to assist you with this concern.
It’s important to note that Chromecast doesn't support Bluetooth HID (Human Interface Device) standards in the way that other Bluetooth devices might. Chromecast is primarily designed to work over Wi-Fi, and it doesn’t have the same level of Bluetooth support for direct interaction like some other devices (e.g., PCs or smartphones).
The standard way to control Chromecast volume is through the Google Home app, using voice commands with Google Assistant or the remote control of the TV.
Feel free to keep us posted if you have more questions or need further assistance on Google Nest devices.
Best regards,
Virna
