I have movies in Jellyfin with the audio format "Dolby Digital Plus / Dolby Atmos - 5.1".
The first time I play one of these movies, there is a loud distorted sound at the start.
After that, all movies on the device (not just in Jellyfin) have a dual audio issue:
One audio track plays at a lower volume.
Another plays at the normal volume.
Both tracks are offset by about 1 second.
This dual audio problem only starts after playing a Jellyfin movie and then becomes a global issue across the device.
The issue can be fixed temporarily by long-pressing the power button on the remote and restarting the device, but it returns as soon as I play a Jellyfin movie again.
Note: This issue does not occur on the Google TV 4K Chromecast.

Hi ghostkilla,
I understand you're experiencing an audio failure on your Google TV Streamer (4K): playing a Jellyfin movie with Dolby Digital Plus / Dolby Atmos - 5.1 format causes a loud initial sound, followed by two audio tracks playing simultaneously and out of sync that impact the performance of other apps. While restarting the device temporarily resolves the inconvenience, the issue immediately returns when the same content is played again. I'm glad to help you with this.
Since this issue is specifically triggered by content played within Jellyfin (despite affecting the whole system afterward), I recommend reaching out to Jellyfin's support team for further troubleshooting. They should be able to assist you with any app-specific encoding or audio output issues that may be causing this problem and provide tailored guidance.
Feel free to keep us posted if you have any more questions or need assistance with your Google Nest devices.
Best regards,
Virna
