Where is the BBC iPlayer App? I know it was supported on the previous 4K Chromecast with Google TV?
Seems odd to me that a product like this launches in the UK and doesn't have the biggest TV Channel/Network's app available to use.
Same with Channel 4 too.
Please advise or help!?

Bummer. The Google TV Streamer is built on Android 14 which is first Google TV device to have this update. Google announced this back in May and gave developers the ability to start testing there apps. It looks like BBC iPlayer just needs to go in and update it to be compatible with the newer OS.

Don't forget that the streamer is still a Chromecast. While waiting for the app to launch, if I want to watch something I just open it on my phone and cast to the TV. That aspect works fine. All you're lacking (for now) is the ability to chose what to watch directly on the streamer.

You can manually install using instructions further up this thread. We have and it's fine, although rather it were from the store so that it updates. No idea what the issue is TBH, apparently it's been certified for a few weeks but still not listed in the store yet. Probably on some Developers backlog to do.

Had a reply back from the BBC. Time line was not what I expected to hear.
We raised this issue with our iPlayer engineers shortly after we received your message. They've now confirmed that Google have not yet created an APK for the device, but they hope to made the iPlayer app available in the app store in the coming weeks.
