Google TV Streamer & Nest Audio

I have a pair of Nest Audio Speakers next to my TV with the new Google TV Streamer.  How do I connect both speakers to the Streamer so audio comes from both units?  Right now I can only choose one speaker to hear from.

Hi osiris1029,

Thank you for posting in the community. I'm here to help.

To be able to connect your Google TV Streamer to your Nest audio speakers, we have the option to create a speaker group with any combination of Google Nest or Home speakers and displays, Google streaming devices, and Google Pixel Tablets together for synchronous media throughout the home.

For your question, please try the below steps:

  • Create and manage speaker groups in the Google Home app.
  • Make sure your mobile device or tablet is linked to the same account as your Chromecast or speaker.
  • Open the Google Home app.
  • Tap Favorites or devices.
  • Tap and hold your device's tile.
  • At the top right, tap Settings Audio, then:
    • To choose the TV or speaker you want to use when you play music, tap Default music speaker.
    • To choose your preferred TV, tap Display Default TV, then choose your preferred TV.

Note: To set your Chromecast with Google TV as your preferred media playback device, touch and hold the device tile of a different Chromecast model or a speaker or display.

Let me know how it goes and keep me posted.

Regards,

Kevin
