I bought a Chromecast from Target less than a year ago. When I run the warranty checker, it says the warranty has expired. However, there's no date. From my receipt, I purchased the device 4/20/23. I should be within the warranty window. When I spoke to support, they mentioned I need to do a warranty claim through Target. But when I spoke to Target, they said they never handle manufacturer warranty claims. This makes sense to me since I imagine the manufacturer would handle their own warranty claim and not ask vendors who sell their product to do so. What's the appropriate way to handle this?
