How to remove chromecast from Google Chrome

I do want to deactivate Chromecast on my PC. The chromecast is not used by me but someone else but we are using the same router. There is no option to use a different network. Is it possible to deactivate chromecast on your PC (WIndows 10)  or in the Chrome browser?

No, I'm sorry, that is not possible.

A few years ago, Google baked casting into Chrome (it used to be an add-on) and it cannot be removed.
