Latency Google TV

Casting between my computer and Google TV. is a delay of almost 500ms . I can also lower my resolution even hz already tried with Wifi 5Ghz and 2.4ghz. there is no way to bring this latency to 30 ms. casting directly to my my samsung tv the latency is not even 30ms . I have 2 chrome cast and 3 google TV but all minimum 400ms that is too long. take into account when doing Karaoke from Computer to Google Tv . Audio output from Computer and the audio from Chrome cast one can clearly hear the size of Delay. and when I cast directly to samsung TV there is almost no delay

Thanks for reaching out. Let's sort this out.

 

A few questions: when did the issue start? Is this only happening when casting using a computer? Have you tried if the same issue persists when casting using a mobile device?

 

Try these steps:

 

  1. Make sure that your device meets the minimum system requirements to cast from Chrome.
  2. Close and relaunch the Chrome browser, then try to cast the same content again.
  3. Close any battery-draining applications that may be running on your computer.
  4. Try decreasing the distance between the TV, router, and computer. The devices should be less than 15-20 feet (5-6 meters) apart, ideally within the same room.
  5. Reboot your Chromecast, computer, and Wi-Fi router.
  6. Reset your Chromecast.

Thank you for your answer. no it is not hte distance is below even 1 meter and still the same  i have 3 google tv . I have used this at home but also installed it with my girlfriend and recently also with a Friend any of the 3 and wherever there is a delay of at least 350ms to 400ms. google tv and chrome cast simply have a large latency . So So I bought Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter Latency less than 10 ms but thank you

  1. Cast firmware version of your Chromecast devices.
  2. Firmware version of your router.
  3. Make and model of your router.
