Linking chromecast remote and TEAC TV

I have set up a chromecast with a TEAC TV. I'm not sure of the model, however it's not a smart TV. I have turned on HDMI CEC in the TV settings however when I try to pair the remote buttons it says it cannot pair with the TV. My original TV remote can control both the TV and the chromecast, however the chromecast remote will only control the chromecast not the TV. The TV remote is old and some buttons get stuck so I would like to use the chromecast one if possible. I tried factory reseting the TV first and then the chromecast with no luck. Is there anything I can try to attempt to get the chromecast remote to control the TV?

Unfortunately, it would be impossible for Google to list absolutely every TV brand/manufacturer. You can use some trial and error by selecting the other manufacturer's listed. Alternatively, try a Google search or see if they have forums to see if someone else may have found one that works for your brand of TV.
