Loading error, unable to load For You

Had this device a couple of years now with no issues, in the last 3 days it started showing a blank screen on the For You tab with the message "Loading error, unable to load For You". I've looked through the forums and tried every fix described. I've cleared the storage cache. I've cleared the data and cache of the Google TV app. I've switched to a different WiFi network. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Google TV updates. Nothing works. A complete factory reset did work... for about 12 hours. Then I got the loading error again. I've seen plenty of other people with this problem, is there any explanation for what causes it and an actual fix short of factory resetting and going through the hassle of setting up again?

Thanks for reaching out and for being a step ahead of us. What Chromecast with Google TV are we working with? Could you please tell us the firmware version of Chromecast with Google TV? Check out the steps below on how to get it:

 

  1. Make sure your mobile device or tablet is linked to the same account as your speaker or display.
  2. Open the Google Home app Google Home app.
  3. Touch and hold your device's tile.
  4. At the top right, tap Settings and then Device information.
  5. Under "Technical information," find Cast firmware: X.XXX.XXXXX.
