Hello,
I want to control my MAG TV volume and power via my ChromCast remote, but there is no MAG option to choose from the list of TVs.
What should I do?
Thanks!

It seems like MAG is the only one using code 1701.
I guess there is no solution then.
Thanks anyway!

Do you know if the TV has CEC? That is another way the Chromecast can control things.

Thanks for the reply!
No, the TV doesn't have CEC.

I don't know if there is much else that can be done, it has been a while since I've gone through that setup but I don't remember there being any kind of training mode. Is MAG the brand of the TV?

Yes, it is.

There might be other brands that use the same remote control commands but I'm not sure how you could find that out.

Hi,
I actually did not get an answer to my issue. 😐

Heya liran,
InstantBits mentioned that you can use another brand that uses the same remote codes, the easiest way is to Google a list of TV codes, and find a matching one, then trying it.
I know this is just a workaround and not a real solution. What I would recommend is that you submit feedback to Google letting them know what TV brand you are using, so they can look at adding that brand in the future.
Best regards,
Jeran

I'm really sorry to hear that! If you get the chance, I'd recommend submitting feedback to Google letting them know that they need to add support for MAG. I wish we could have been more helpful! In the meantime, I'll go ahead and lock up this thread. If you have any more questions or concerns in the future, feel free to start a new thread.
Thank you for your help on this, InstantBits!
Best regards,
