Multiple Devices Failing at Set Up

I have an existing, already set up Google Home set up, including Doorbell, Display, Mini and Chromecast. I'm trying to add additional items but each (mini and chromecast) is falling at Set Up stage. Just says try again. For the mini and extra chromecast, I've factory reset and WiFi rebooted and re attempted on multiple occasions with no success. 

 

Very frustrating. Hundreds of dollars spent. I'm losing faith in the whole system.

For extra context, I am able to find the device, scan QR code, and connect but it repeatedly fails at the "Signing into Chromecast with your Google account" stage

(i use finger print feature which works everywhere else)

Thanks for posting. I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing this situation by setting up your Google devices. I understand how frustrating that situation can be. But don't worry, I can help. In this case to provide the best assistance, please answer the following questions:

 

  • What device are you using to set up the Google Home devices, an Android or an iPhone?
  • Have you already tried signing in and entering your account information manually?
  • Do you have the latest version of the Google Home app?
