My Google Chromecast voice remote is heating and not working

I purchased my device last April 2024. Last week it started to heat up rapidly and not working at all. I have done the troubleshooting tips I found on this site: check firmware, checked the remote for dirt, replace batteries checked the keys, factory reset both dongle and voice remote. Now there's no way to use it as it is also disconnected from my google home remote. I also talked to the chat support and obviously that's the reason I'm here now, nothing happened. Any more ideas?
