The Netflix error code is from the Netflix app itself and I suggest reaching out to Netflix support. Here is the Netflix support https://help.netflix.com/en/node/12232
Additionally, I will also let our Google Streamer team know as well.

It's not a problem with Netflix. I've compared it. It's a problem with the latest system version firmware of Google TV 4K.

Already tried doing this i actually contacted netflix, google, and the shop that i bought they cant help me and just direct me to the links that I already searched for.

Because this is a problem with Google's system, not Netflix, nor the store that sold it to you.

Just got new Chromecast 4k and getting the same error. Bunch of others with new Chromecast 4ks reporting it too. The Netflix help pages say it is something wrong with the device...

Can I ask what the factory date is on the packaging of your equipment ? 2020、2021 or 2022?I also encountered this problem.

I am encountering the same issue with my Chromecast 4k with remote that I bought 2 days ago. Any one found a resolution yet or must I return the product?

Can I ask what the factory date is on the packaging of your equipment ? 2020、2021 or 2022?I also encountered this problem.
I only know that if the manufacturing date on the package is 2022, and you start using the latest system, there will be no Netflix error problem.
10-23-2024 07:57 AM
I still have the box amd the mfg date is 01/2022
10-23-2024 08:05 AM
I tried it today. The date on the package is 04/2022. I opened it and used it. It was updated to the latest system with a security patch date of September 2024. I could open Netflix without any errors. However, when I opened the package with a date of 08/2021 and updated it to the latest system with a security patch date of September 2024, Netflix would report an error. This problem has also occurred on Xiaomi's Mi Box before, so it is very likely that there is a bug in the system update pushed by Google this time, not a problem with the Netflix app, because I have repeatedly compared, uninstalled and reinstalled Netflix, including resetting the device, but none of them can solve this problem.
10-23-2024 03:05 PM
This is also what happened to me 01/2022 chromecast when I opened it it prompted me to update to the latest version. Maybe the problem is the update on google chromecast. It's maybe not compatible with netflix? but anyways hope they fix it ASAP. I just want to use my Newly bought chromecast and chill.
10-24-2024 03:38 AM
the problem is the update on google chromecast, have you communicated with Google about this issue?
10-24-2024 03:05 PM
Yes i have and support just told me to let the chromecast run for 24 hours and see but nothing was really fixed will call them again to follow up
10-24-2024 08:25 PM
Please contact and follow up as soon as possible. This is a problem caused by the latest system pushed by Google. It has nothing to do with Netflix app.

I bought mine from the Google store and it arrived 3 days ago. Not sure of the manufacturer date (had already thrown away box).
I spent half an hour on the phone with Google support last night. They said they are escalating to their engineers and will get back to me within a day. The guy said he could send me a replacement but he doesn't have faith that it would fix it. I suggest calling Google support to further raise the salience.

10-23-2024 07:59 AM
I am already updated to the latest software for google chromecast and same with netflix no further update any more
10-23-2024 08:01 AM
Me too tried contacting both netflix and google but no help. Worst thing is that netflix keep saying that google chromecast isnt supported and its not their fault.
10-23-2024 08:11 AM
It's not a problem with Netflix, it's a problem with Google's latest system. I'm sure because I have several Google TV 4Ks that haven't been opened yet, but I'm not in the United States. I've also encountered this problem. I really hope that Google can solve it. I also reported this problem to their online customer service. I even compared several products with different production dates.
10-23-2024 08:11 AM
Yeah... the Netflix person I spoke to did not seem to be able to do more than just read through the steps that are outlined on their website that I had already tried. I did ask him to escalate it. He said he would pass the issue along.
By comparison, the google support person I spoke to seemed to understand that this was not user error and he immediately escalated to more senior people. Said they will be following up today.
10-23-2024 08:41 AM
Could you please give Google support person more feedback on the problem and ask them to expedite it? I am sure that this is a problem caused by Google's system, but I am not in the United States and cannot contact them by phone, online or email because I am not fluent in English, which is also a problem; I am a seller, and I have a lot of Google TV 4K. The production dates on the packaging are 2020, 2021, and 2022. Today I took a few brand new ones to unpack and compare. Only the one with the production date of 04/2022 on the packaging will require updating to the latest system version when it is turned on and used. There will be no Netflix error. Both 2020 and 2021 will have Netflix error problems.

The Google rep replied with:
"our team is working to bring a solution. They tell me that they will inform you when there is an update to solve the problem."
10-24-2024 09:03 PM
hope they can solve this problem as soon as possible, it affects the use,If you solve it, can you reply in this post? I am also waiting
10-23-2024 11:35 AM
I am facing the same issue. I bought the device yesterday.
In the box, i see MFG date as 07/2021
Google customer support is saying, they are aware of this issue and are working on the fix, however there is no ETA
10-23-2024 10:38 PM
Google TV 4K has a system problem, not Netflix's problem, only can contact Google customer service to check and solve this problem caused by the system update as soon as possible.
10-24-2024 01:05 PM
Hey all,
I've escalated this with the team and they're taking a look. I'll keep you updated as I hear more, appreciate the patience.
Thank you,
Kelan

I'm having trouble with my Netflix app. Every time I try to open it, I get the following error message:
"Netflix has encountered an error. Code: ui-800-3"
10-23-2024 09:30 PM
You may need to reset your Netflix profile, see Netflix help here:
10-23-2024 10:36 PM
Google TV 4K has a system problem, not Netflix's problem
10-24-2024 06:32 AM
No .it doesn't. The Netflix account just has to be reset on the device, it's akin to clearing your cache on a browser.
10-24-2024 07:26 AM
No .it doesn't.I try many times, also other customers.
10-24-2024 07:38 AM
Okay, if you have tried to clear your Netflix data and that didn't work, then do a factory reset of the device and let me know if that fixes it.

That's wonderful, I've seen that post. The reality is this is not a system wide issue..it is effecting only a subset of users. So I am trying to nail down what exactly the issue is.
10-24-2024 08:05 AM
The reality is . I have a 2020 model..so first gen CCwGTV 4k .. and Netflix works fine. So it's not hardware. I have the most recent software/firmware updates, so it's not that.
10-24-2024 09:51 AM
What I reported is that I opened three brand new devices in a row yesterday for comparison. When they were turned on and connected to the Internet, they were directly upgraded to the latest system. The version numbers are all STTL.240812.006. Only MFG Date 04/2022 did not encounter the Netflix error. The other two had problems. The key is the first use, not the second OTA after you have used it for several months. My English is a bit poor, so I used Google Translate to explain what I need to express
10-24-2024 07:53 AM
I tried both methods, still facing same issue
1. Reset Netflix
2. Factory reset chromecast
10-24-2024 07:54 AM
That's definitely strange. Are any other streaming services not working? Have you power cycles your router? Are you using a whole home VPN ?
10-24-2024 07:56 AM
Yes all other apps are working fine.
And I tried with and without vpn, same issue in both the case
