Nvidia shield remote with google chromecast

Does anyone know if its possible to connect nvidia shield remote to Google chromecast? Can't find the chromecast remote.

Thanks for reaching out. Under Remote and Accessories setting, you can check and pair other remote controls, headphones, speakers, and any other Bluetooth devices to your Chromecast with Google TV. 

To pair a Bluetooth-enabled remote or accessory, follow the steps below:

1. Go to Settings.
2. Select Remotes and Accessories.
3. Select Pair remote or accessory.
4. Before pairing Bluetooth devices, make sure they’re in pairing mode.

If the Nvidia Shield remote can't be paired, it could be that it isn't compatible with the Chromecast with Google TV. Alternatively, you may use your phone as a virtual remote. Here's how.

Thanks Jennifer👍 i have a chromecast which doesn't have a remote and the app isn't working on phone for remote control, so no way of accessing menus to repair any remote.

Hey there r1ghtp155ed,

The instructions that Jennifer gave you apply to the Chromecast with Google TV. Unfortunately, there isn't a way to connect devices via Bluetooth to the older generations of Chromecast. If you did want to use an Nvidia Shield Remote, it would only work with the Chromecast with Google TV.
