So I just updated my Chromecast to the Android 14 update, and it's absolutely broken everything. I'm being given a low power warning, even though this all worked perfectly on the previous Android 12 version. I've got a Anker 30w power adapter running through an Anker 100w capable dock with an SSD attached for playing local media. I'd like to re-iterate this all worked perfectly before the A-14 update.

It's a CCwGTV 4K unit. I've tried both a 30w and 40w power supply. Everything is using Anker cabling and the USB hub itself is made by Anker and able to pass through up to 100w via Power Delivery. The Low Power warning is the same one that someone would get if they were to use a USB power supply with less than 7.5w of output capability. The system will refuse to boot, and just displays a full-screen graphic with a website URL and an audible chime, and remains on that screen unless unplugged. It refuses to work with my USB-C hub hooked up.

Using the supplied cable makes no difference. And need I remind anyone that this set-up was working flawlessly BEFORE the Android 14 update. Which tells me there's a software glitch in the currently deployed build of Android for Chromecast. This isn't much of a shock to me considering just how buggy it's been reported to be with a little research.

Thank you for sharing this information. Can you let us know the specific model of the Anker power adapter and dock? And just to double check, does the issue persist when the Anker equipment is removed, so that the Chromecast device is connected directly to the TV while using the supplied cable and power adapter?

Below is linked the set-up in question minus the SSD/Enclosure, as that doesn't seem to have an effect on if anything works or not. But to answer the question, the issue does not persist when the hub itself is removed. The Chromecast is working perfectly fine with the Anker power adapter and cables. This is only an issue when I attempt to use the hub.
Power: Anker Nano 1 30w USB-C Charger
Hub: Anker 341 USB-C Hub
Cabling: Anker 333 C-C USB Cables

Has there been any updates to a resolution on this issue?
