Prime Video issues Google TV stream 4k

I've recently bougth a Google TV stream 4k for my home theater. Everything went well and all of my streaming apps was easily configured, such as Netflix, ViaPlay, Telia, Prime Video, Appel TV. I run the Google stream on my Epson projector and has connected it via Blue tooth to the sound equipment. So far so good, however, I just changed projector to a newer Epson, and had to reset my Google stream TV due to some problem solving ( turned out that my HDMI wires are to long) and after that Prime Vidoe doenst work. The app starts up and I can see all contents etc but as soon as I tries to start a stream, Prime starts to load and then almost instant gives me a black screen and saying i should go to primevideo.com/mytv. That action leads more or less to nothing. Any idea from someone what I can do to solve this? It is possible to chrome cast Prime from my cellphone.

thanks in advance

Hi Trivseltorsten,

Thanks for posting in the community! I understand that after upgrading to a new Epson projector and resetting your Google TV Streamer (4K), the Amazon Prime Video app fails to play content. Instead, it shows a black screen and prompts you to visit a website that doesn’t offer guidance on how to solve this. I appreciate the detailed information, and I can definitely help you get this sorted out!

Regarding your question about casting from your phone—yes, you can absolutely do that with your Google TV Streamer. You can find a step-by-step guide in this article: Cast video from Google Cast-enabled apps to your TV.

To better investigate this issue with Amazon Prime Video, I’d like to ask for a few more details:

For now, I’d suggest trying to reconnect your previous Epson projector to see if you’re still experiencing the same issues. Additionally, please check for any pending updates for the Google Home app, the Amazon Prime Video app, and your mobile software.

Keep me posted.

Best regards,

Jenniffer
